Business Security in Russia and China

This site is available only in Finnish. Please click here to visit the site.

Project summary
The objective of the project is, on the one hand to shed light on the contents and meaning of the concept of security as a factor affecting the internationalization strategies of companies, and on the other hand to improve the readiness of the Finnish companies to prepare for business and security risks when they are operating in the rapidly changing business environments in Russia and China.

So far, the subject of security has generally been handled one factor at a time (e.g. corruption rankings of the Transparency International). Instead of that, an exact and systematic analysis on the security of business as a whole in each country and compared with each other has been lacking. In addition, the project assesses the position and competitiveness of Finland in terms of the identified security factors.

This project analyzes: a) which security risks appear in Russia and China, b) to which extent they are relevant from the point of view of companies, c) in which form do risks appear in each country, d) how Finnish companies can prepare themselves for the identified security risks and e) what Finland’s position is in this mapping of risks.
